HYDROGEN WATER

Unlike regular water, Health Pro's Water contains an abundance of Hydrogen (Hâ‚‚) which is a strong antioxidant with high reduction potential to nutralise and counteract harmful oxidative effects of highly reactive and unstable free radicals (Oâ‚‚-) This inturn helps slow down the oxidation process.

Free radicals (Oâ‚‚-) are a type of reactive oxygen species that has an unpaired electron. They are by-products of chemical processes, such as metabolism and can help combat foreign invaders in the body. Yet excessive free radicals in the body often draws a relation to causing oxidative stress and possibly trigger a series of chain reactions that could disrupt or damage our body cells.

HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT ALKALINE WATER SLOWS DOWN OXIDATION?

Soak an iron nail in tap water and alkaline water and observe the rusting process. Hydrogen in Alkaline water is able to counteract free radical damage to slow down the oxidation thus minimizing rusting(oxidation). An Oxidation-Reduction Potential(ORP) meter can also be used to test for the presence of antioxidant in water by measuring the ORP reading. A negative ORP reading indicates high antioxidant capacity, while positive ORP indicates a high rate of oxidation.
